Change in breeze brings mixed fortunes

Subic Bay Freeport, 12 April 2012 - Despite the grim looking weather forecast, the relative seamless change from the morning land breeze to the afternoon sea breeze, allowed the race committee to complete two scheduled races for the IRC Classes and one passage race for the PY Cruisers. Once again the fluctuating wind strength at strategic parts of the course determined the race placings and overall results. At the end of the day, only a few minutes here and there separated the yachts, indicating how close the racing was.

Dive Show

Subic Bay Freeport, 12 April 2012 – Ocean Adventure recently welcomed tourists inside this premier Freeport with the International Champions High Dive Show. The show, which is in partnership with Brown Entertainment, was opened to the public last March 31 and will run up to June 11 this year. The High Dive Show is a display of Olympic springboard diving, as well as platform diving from various heights. Calibre Rox for winning the Combined Subic Bay to Boracay Race and the Boracay Cup Series in the Cruiser-Racer Division. SBMA Board Members witnessed the awarding (l-r) Phillip Camara, Phillip Chuachiaco, Bien Benitez, Benjamin Antonio, Norberto Sosa, Ricky Sandoval and Jun Avecilla, SBMA Chairman Roberto Garcia, Ramy Sesdoryo, Al Siapno, Francis Garcia, Gerald Sam Del Rosario, Joven Reyes and Dep. Adm. for Tourism Raul Marcelo. Chairman Garcia lauded the co-chairmen of the Regatta for making the great sailing event possible and for putting Subic Bay and Boaracay in the international sailing map.
